EYFS - Introduction to Childminding Practice

Outline

This introductory course provides prospective childminders with the knowledge and resources to prepare for Ofsted registration and combines three e-learning modules with two, full day training sessions.

Description

Tuesday 23rd April 2019 and Tuesday 7th May 2019 - 9am - 4pm - Keynsham Civic Centre, Keynsham

The Introduction to Childminding Practice course consists of 3 e-learning modules:
  • Health and Safety
  • Setting up your Business
  • Encouraging Positive Behaviours

Two full day training sessions:
  • Introduction to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, including Children’s learning and development
  • Foundation Child Protection
  • Partnerships and Transitions

Providing an inclusive environment is a key thread running through all the modules.
The course is led and facilitated by the Early Years Childminding Team who will offer continuing support during the Ofsted registration process and afterwards.
