The session is an opportunity to explore recent safeguarding updates and reflect on best practice. It is an opportunity to network with other safeguarding leads. We will also look at key messages from recent Ofsted inspections 1 free place for the year for the designated person if you have enhanced Hub membership. N.B This does NOT replace foundation safeguarding training Certificates will be emailed to the delegate. CLIMATE CHANGE: Please bring your own cup/water bottle with you as we are reducing the use of disposable cups.

EYFS links: 3.4 Providers must be alert to any issues of concern in the child’s life at home or elsewhere. Providers must have and implement a policy, and procedures, to safeguard children. 3.5 A practitioner must be designated to take lead responsibility for safeguarding children in every setting. Childminders must take lead responsibility themselves. The lead practitioner is responsible for liaison with local statutory children’s services agencies, and with the LSCB. They must provide support, advice and guidance to any other staff on an ongoing basis, and on any specific safeguarding issues as required.
